Karen is a registered nurse with over 35 years’ experience in the aged care sector. Her experience includes senior operational management, learning and development, quality and clinical governance roles. Karen's versatility has enabled her to work with public sector, church and charitable, private and multicultural organisations.
Karen has worked as a nurse advisor supporting providers to overturn non-compliance and sanctions. In 2007 Karen was awarded the June Allen Fellowship to study the role of Clinical Leadership of registered nurses and travelled to Canada and Japan to review the role of the registered nurses in aged care facilities.
