Michelle boasts 30+ years in the Residential Aged Care sector, spanning quality, safety, leadership, and regulatory roles. Her nursing background informs her hands-on expertise, having served as a unit manager, quality manager, and regional operations manager in Victoria's private and non-profit organisations.

With a significant tenure at the Aged Care Quality Agency, Michelle's understanding of Aged Care Standards runs deep. She's conducted over 300 aged care home audits in Victoria and Tasmania. Her stint with the Victorian Government enriched her with policy development and governance insights.

Michelle is an industry-respected figure, representing the Victorian State Government Aged Care Branch on the State coronial working party. This led to her initiative, the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine Aged Care Coronial Communique. She's known for her relationship-building skills and has worked extensively as an approved Nurse Advisor under Sanctions principles, helping homes nationwide achieve compliance. Michelle has shared her skills pro-bono for over seven years for the East Timor Hearts Foundation, providing advice on critical incident management and clinical governance.

Michelle's life experiences also include nursing in the United States, caring for Bill Clinton's father, and extensive world travel. She's passionate about rural life, camping, cooking, surfing, concerts, and enjoys sharing these experiences with her children and friends.
